More Guangzhou

Yesterday after church we walked through the Medicine Market. Molly told us we should by something for "your daddy" because it's good for old people. We didn't because Ray thought we would never get it through customs.

The medicine market/pet market would have killed the girls. We saw snake skins, seahorses, starfish, turtles and scorpions on the medicine side. We got to the the pets... there were dogs everywhere and kittens. We even saw chipmunks jumping around in a cage.

Molly thought we were crazy but we carried Jack or put him in the backpack most of the time. He was a pretty good shopper. It was a very long day. Jack missed his nap. Today he doesn't seem like himself.

This is Molly buying what I think is a Chinese Wolfberry for her father-in-law because it's good for "old people."

 A bucket full of scorpions.

This was the walk to the pearl and jade market. It really doesn't do justice to just how busy and crowded it felt. About the time I was telling Ray that I was starting to feel a bit claustrophobic, Molly said it would be much worse during the holidays next week.
Jack being a trooper at the pearl market. He was so good and patient. He's been a bit more temperamental today.
