Big News For Me & Ethiopia

Yesterday I teased that I got Big Big News. Frankly, it will only be Big Big for me. It's also good news for Ethiopia.

Sixteen years ago, I started to learn a little bit about how small the military community is. No matter where we are in the world, we meet up with people we knew from previous duty stations. Then, approximately four years ago, I started to notice the same thing about the blogging community. Occasionally, those worlds collide. They sure collided like crazy when I realized that Kim was somewhere in the world that used to be. Oh how I wish we were still almost neighbors. She has a huge heart for Ethiopia. My heart wants to help. That was why I added a quick post in the middle of my packing about what's happening in her world that will help Ethiopia.

I got a note from Kim this week to go check out her blog. I saw this cute video of her little Boggie. Did you hear me doing the happy dance from Florida? It went something like this, I WON I WON I WON I WON! It's a happy occasion for me for two reasons. Someone is about to have a birthday here. She just happened to ask me about some embroidered clothes. Oh... someone else coming from another country might want some clothes when he gets here. So, I say again... I WON I WON I WON!!! Let me tell you, $100 From Picadilly Circus Designs... it's exciting.

There is also a reason for that big old title with the word Ethiopia. I know of at least two other blogs that have my blog linked. They are blogs with far more readers. Blogs that focus on Ethiopia. If you are still reading this and you have a heart for Ethiopia, click on over to Change Me. Read about what Kim is doing. She has some really cute headbands for sale. I can honestly state that they are awesome. I can't believe that I don't have a picture of them. They actually stay in Bria's wild mane of curly hair. I love them! You can also help with Ordinary Hero.

Now... it's time to call the good old USCIS again. Pretty sure that case worker is going to be sorry our file landed on her desk. She did tell em to call her every day!
