Back To Reality

We spent a really great weekend with Ray's family. Unfortunately, I feel like a dark cloud of storms is following us wherever we go. We've had our share of tornado warnings here. I have no right to complain because some rips in our gazebo cover is the only damage that we suffered. I am tired of the storms and not sleeping. They followed us all the way to IL. Ray's parents live a little over an hour from St. Louis. Their little hometown airport was hit while we were there. One little power outage and new waterfront property is about all the damage they incurred. We were blessed.

After posting too many photos from our multiple egg hunts and decorating parties last week, I forgot my camera this weekend. Boo...Hiss... I almost never forget my camera. The girls wore white and they were beautiful. You'll just have to take my word for it.

This week, I'm playing catch up a bit. There are a few things that I want to tell you about.

My brother is featured in this article. This new police dog is Tucker's twin. We could not ask for a better dog than Tucker. If you ever consider a new pet for your family, remember to check out a shelter first. Here's the article.

This book arrived a little late for my rainy weekend but I'm really excited to read it.
The first book, Radical made me reconsider how we are living. I can't wait to sink into this one. You can read the first chapter at Amazon. If you haven't read Radical, do...this week.

Ray is always the first to arrive at the office. This is what he met this morning.
Apparently his new friend met an untimely end at the wrong side of a cardboard tube. It might sound awful and gruesome, but I probably would have wanted to see Ray go after this with a cardboard tube.  Please feel free to comment with a joke about the fact that Ray is in the military and his closest weapon was a cardboard tube. Believe me, I will.

Gotta go. Tornado sirens again. Time for the closet. It's that sort of Monday.
