We're Home

Living our nomadic military life makes a description of home very
difficult. After 3 kids, home becomes all 5 of us being in one place.
That's simple enough until we drive through Land Between The Lakes
and get on the Purchase Parkway. That's when I just really miss our
original home.

The navy calls it our home of record. I call it Mayfield. It's ponds
and out buildings that are larger than homes. It's horses and cattle
and rolling hills. It's family waiting for you to roast hot dogs and
make smores while the sun sets. It's labs running everywhere. It's
deer dodging on the highway and listening to the girls giggle in the
back seat.

Almost everyone is still asleep. I could seriously get used to
blogging from here even if it is from my phone.
