Happy Thanksgiving

It's the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We didn't have company. I should be stringing holiday cheer all over my clean house with a Christmas tree twinkling in the corner. Instead, I'm watching Bria devour her lunch in a filthy house while I'm adding pictures to the blog. But we're happy about it. See...
We aren't at all grumpy after a weekend of eating, visiting with friends and shopping. Even though no one in the house seems to be sleeping and we're going to bed really late, we aren't grumpy at all... I promise.
Just kidding. We really have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hanan was developed her mother's attitude about anyone taking a picture of her, especially when she's eating. Bria is just Bria. We went to our friends house for a true Thanksgiving Feast. Withing about an hour of being there, Bria blew out of her diaper. It was everywhere. I asked Ray to stand her up so I could get a picture of her cute outfit. That was the shot I got...

There's more to the diaper story. I was as usual running late that morning. I tried to squeeze a run, baths, showers, and laundry into an already busy schedule. I was nervous because something always seems to happen on Thanksgiving. In fact one year, we were invited to the same home. There was a huge crowd of friends from church. At one point Hanan couldn't find a bathroom. She had a horrible accident. By horrible I mean, there was poop smeared everywhere since she tried so hard to clean herself up. Poor girl. All that food in her tiny little belly then all those desserts. It needed someplace to go. I can't believe they invited us back. Last year, we were at home when Arleigh started to puke. You can see my need to worry. So I asked Arleigh to get Bria a change of clothes. Surely something would happen. She came down with a pair of pajamas. I told her to put them back. They just wouldn't do.

Ray came down and said he took care of it. There is a blow out. I go to the bag for the change of clothes. There they were, pajamas a size too small, nothing for her feet and short sleeves. ?!? I told Arleigh to put them back. Where are the clothes you got honey? He thought these would be perfect because when we got home we could just put her in bed. He didn't know they were a 9 months. Bria just looked like a cute little redneck for the rest of the night. It all worked out. She enjoyed the pumpkin pie.

Bria and Josh played all day. He really kept her entertained. Maybe it was the other way around. Anyway, it all worked out. Seriously, they were very, very, cute.
Arleigh and Hanan hung out upstairs in Tabitha's very cool room. Hanan tried on all of Tabitha's shoes. Her favorites were the black boots. She asked Tye for a pair for Christmas. Then they worked on crafts. Jill got Bria to take a little nap so I actually got to play a game of pit. I finished in the hole but really, I was the winner since I got to finish a game.
We had a really great Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. You can be thankful that I'm not posting the other 100 photos of my very cute children. Thanks to the Lowells and Wilsons and everyone else for helping us have a wonderful day.

Hey Shanan! I'm glad you're back. I've missed you. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving. Is it the middle one (Hanan) that you think looks like me. It's funny until this last year, I've always been told that all 3 look like Ray.
